WYARN is a small startup built by people tired of paywalls around communicating with and finding like-minded people. We want a simpler way for adults to meet nearby, with free browsing and messaging, real proximity ordering and no paid boosts. Ads and optional donations help support the project.

Who may use WYARN

You must be at least 18 and meet any higher applicable age requirement. Do not use someone else's identity or account. The age declaration and daily selfie do not establish verified age or identity.

Accounts and the free service

You may use a username and password or Google. Keep credentials secure; username accounts have no password recovery. If you lose access, a new account will not restore old conversations. Google accounts are separate. Browsing requires an account, a current selfie and a shared Nearby area. Sending messages requires a current selfie. Ads can be turned off on your browser, and donations are optional. We do not sell higher placement in distance results.

Respect, consent and prohibited conduct

No minors, nudity or explicit profile photos, harassment, threats, hate, coercion, impersonation, scams, spam, unlawful activity, exploitation or non-consensual intimate content. Do not upload another person's face, share another person's private information without permission, scrape profiles or try to bypass access controls. Interest labels are not consent to a conversation, meeting or sexual activity. Stop contacting someone who asks you to stop.

Reports and restrictions

Reports are stored, but there is no continuously staffed moderation team. A qualifying report can trigger a warning. Three qualifying reports from different established accounts within seven days automatically hide the reported profile and prevent new outgoing messages. Reports are allegations, not verified findings, and automated restrictions can be wrong. Repeated reports from the same account count once. Basic eligibility checks reduce abuse but cannot eliminate it.

A restricted account may read surviving chats, block people, appeal to support.wyarn@protonmail.com, or delete its account. Restrictions do not expire automatically; support checks appeals occasionally and response time is not guaranteed. This process does not automatically delete the account. We may restrict access for abuse, security or legal reasons. False or coordinated reports are prohibited.

Your content and privacy

You retain your rights in your content and give WYARN permission to store, display and transmit it as needed to operate the service and apply its rules. Share only content you have permission to use. See Privacy for visibility, tracking and retention. Removing content or an account cannot erase copies another person saved.

Meetings, advertising and service limits

Use your judgment when communicating or meeting. We do not screen members or guarantee that profiles, stated ages, locations or intentions are accurate. Approximate distances may be inaccurate. An advertisement is not an endorsement. Third-party websites and payments follow their own terms.

WYARN is an early release and may be unavailable, change or lose data. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Leaving and changes

You can permanently delete your account in My profile. Accounts are also deleted after 30 days without signed-in activity. Selfies expire after 24 hours and messages after 30 days. We may update these terms and will communicate material changes in the app. Contact support.wyarn@protonmail.com for questions.
